Great post. Sometime last summer, I came across Taraban's channel while at the gym. It was fed to me by the algorithm. I enjoyed his videos for a few weeks during workouts, and then suddenly a switch flipped, and I became disgusted by the completely utilitarian view of love and relationships, and the denial of any transcendent or bigger purpose to life. To wit, if you use his "pych hacks" and philosophy to acquire a woman who is also treating you as part of a transaction, then you get the great prize of a utilitarian relationship with a woman whom you will likely have to never be yourself with, and with whom you never experience true love with. That sounds like literal hell. Egad.

This guy is getting a following on Youtube. I like him more than Taraban, because he does acknowledge that there may be a spiritual side of things. He also has good advice on helping men heal and move on from divorce. However, he ends his videos with the tagline, "... and if you can, stay single." Seems like a copout or cowardly, in the end, to actively avoid or warn men against marriage and family. Not suggesting anyone follow, view or comment on this guy, John Griffin, but I offer him as an interesting contrast - someone who did have a family and marriage, and loves the fact he has children.
