Beautifully described scenes.

Also being a uniquely smart and special child, I loved to wind my parents up with literal replies like your daughter there.

My favourite was saying "No", "I would, but I can't", or "Impossible!" when I was told to do a chore I had already completed.

A quarter century later, it gets the poor old vaxxed boomers every time.

"She came back with an apple with a slice cut out of it and two “eyes” so it looked like pac-man. She had asked her mom to do it that way."

That's awesome. And her solution to dealing with her mom was, uh, creative, haha.

I kind of wonder if people predisposed to rhetoric tend to be the more imaginative ones. They can't fix your car, but they can entertain you.

"her mother, who is now distracted by the little Wolf trying to pull food off her plate"

So he was hungry like the wolf? Do doo do, do doo do, do doo do, do doooooo...

What? No Duran Duran fans in the house? Tough room...
