Probability Zero
Academia just got cratered. Forever.
Vox’s Book is available on Amazon and this is my review of it.
This book is the academic version of the supposed asteroid impact that wiped out the dinosaurs.
Except, unlike that theory, this one is absolutely factual, and undeniable. The target is the Darwinian theory of evolution by natural selection, and probably, the careers of pretty much every evolutionary biologist that ever believed in it, and quite a few professional atheists who have always subscribed to it as an article of faith.
Vox proves —with a math so rigorous that it literally has odds that even physicists consider to be certain— that evolution by natural selection is, as the title makes clear, simply impossible.
The math is not even particularly complex, and every possible avenue that could be explored, or that ignorant or innumerate people try to come up with as a knee-jerk reaction before even having read this work, has been covered.
The point is simple: There really is no way out. Whatever the mechanism is that produces fixed and differentiated species, randomness, natural selection, or survival of the fittest, simply cannot account for it. Not even remotely.
The effect of this book will resonate through the ages. People will vilify, try and falsify, and scream blue murder at a non-expert in the field upsetting ALL the apple carts. But then, an eminent scientist back in the day assured the president at the time, and the world, that the Wright brothers would never make any kind of flying machine, because according to him it was all “impossible”.
Well, we have 747s today thanks to two bicycle enthusiasts not listening to people who are pompously and egregiously wrong.
And now, a games designer, music enthusiast, and economist has just nuked the entire field of evolutionary biology, then salted the Earth of it, then nuked it again.
A few decades from now, evolutionary biology will be relegated to the same closet as phrenology, and possibly be less valid than aura readings by gypsies with a fondness for your wallet. Whether Vox gets the credit or not, it will happen, because he has now brought the unvarnished, beautiful, shining truth out into the light, and once that happens, error, lies and egos, will, in due course, melt in the sunlight.
The ripple effect of this work is almost impossible to overstate. It has single-handedly dealt a mortal blow to the materialist philosophy that has crept in and slowly degraded humanity for the last 250 years or so, because Darwin’s Origin of Species has been the false religion of people who apparently have the same aversion to calculators, or even slide-rulers, that vampires have to crosses.

I've heard normies use midwit for the last year, and the concept was gaining traction even earlier.
I wonder how long it will take for PZ to go mainstream.
