Arrived on site of the incident, Entertainment dome 69 at 7.32am, due to being in nearby location: Entertainment dome 72, and having received initial report at 7.08am.
Description of Incident Area - The incident was located in Entertainment Dome 69, Deluxe Recreational Penthouse 12. The area had been secured from the outside by off-duty Feldpolizeiassistent Otto Bauer, who had heard a commotion he reputed unusual enough to investigate. He had removed the only living German found inside the location and had him sat on the floor in the corridor outside RP 12.
Internally, RP 12 was the usual set-up of luxurious penthouse but there was blood spatter on the high ceilings, which are approximately 4.5 metres above floor level. On the bed was Entertainment Server No. 488 denoted “Aria”. She was tied in a spreadeagled fashion, lacerations were evident all over her body. The left leg quad muscle was deeply cut into and the bedding underneath her was soaked with partially coagulated blood. She had a very faint pulse and I applied a tourniquet to her left leg using a bathrobe belt that was hanging in the en-suite. She had other lacerations, I counted at least 17, some were covered by blood and difficult to identify, and there were several smaller but deep ones in the vaginal area. One of her breasts having nearly been detached. I called the Medical Emergency Services which arrived in 8 minutes and managed to save the girl Entertainment Server. While waiting for them I took all the images and video attached this day-report under the same nomenclature: Field Report 001 -1997-01-01.
I reprimanded Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer for not having called the MES immediately and having risked the loss of li Entertainment Server No. 488. When I did this the man that had been sitting on the floor, who was naked, covered in blood and appeared to be heavily intoxicated spoke up and said: “And for treading a superior officer with unacceptable disrespect!”
At this time, the MES were nearly finished and removing ES No. 488 from the premises using their a portable levitating psychotronic chamber. I told Feldpolizeiassistent Otto Bauer to go home, change (he was wearing only undergarments) meet me at the Orpo HQ building and report to my office where I would interview him properly. I instructed him to not discuss the incident with anyone and that interrogation would be done using the Falkenrath-Weiß machine.
As it was still relatively early on New Year’s Eve I thought it more expedient to take the suspect in myself. Taking another robe to cover up the man, I helped him up and had him wear it. In the process, probably due to his heavy level of intoxication and the fact he seems to have slipped on some of the blood he had been sitting in (not his), he fell awkwardly and injured his face on the wall near where he was sitting. I suspect his nose was fractured as he’s quite a heavy-set man and his full weight was behind his hitting his face hard on the wall. Some slight neck injury may also have resulted.
He became rather belligerent after his injury, so I had to restrain him with the second bathrobe belt. He was swearing and cursing quite a lot as I marched him to Orpo HQ and the containment cell. As there was no one else at the offices I awaited Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer, and interrogated him.
Interrogation No. 0001-1997-01-01 Case N. 43,792 Summary Notes
Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer, was occupying RP 11, next door and heard screaming he described as “unnatural”. He therefore went to investigate, using his retinal scan access to open RP 12, where he said he saw the suspect sitting naked on ES No. 488, laughing, a bottle of what he assumed to be Terran Champagne in one hand and a serrated blade in his right hand. He was slashing at ES No. 488 apparently at random and alternately pouring some of the drink from the bottle on her and drinking from it. Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer said the suspect also seems to have been licking or perhaps biting the open wounds on ES No. 488 before he could get to him and remove him to the corridor where I found him. Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer, says he had asked the suspect for the knife when he approached him and the suspect handed it to him asking if Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer, “…wanted to have a go.” As soon as Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer got the knife, the suspect told him: “Stick it in her ass open her ass!” and then laughed in an unrestrained manner. Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer told me that he placed the knife inside the drawer the bedside table and then bodily helped and pull the man off ES No. 488 and placed him in the corridor. He then priority locked RP 12 using his retinal scan and went to collect his communicator. He called me at 7.08am and briefly described to me a serious incident had taken place. I was asleep at the time, so I hastily got dressed and arrived on site at 7.32am as reported above.
Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer, was where I found him, in the corridor, wearing only undergarments and holding his communicator. When I asked him why he did not call MES he had no good response. The Falkenrath-Weiß readings are attached in the report. My interpretation is that Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer was under shock due to the graphic nature of the incident and he shamefully could not face the situation as it was inside RP12.
Despite his training, it is my estimation that although well-intentioned and pro-active, Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer is not well-suited to field work that may entail violent offenders or particularly gruesome crime sites. He is however an observant and detailed investigator, and with more experience I believe this issue too could be quickly overcome. I would ask that he is allocated to me unless other arrangements have already been made, as I do not have an assistant yet.
Interrogation No. 0002-1997-01-01 Case N. 43,792 Summary Notes
Luftwaffe-SS Standartenführer Heinrich Krauss was placed in a containment cell 4 at 8.08am. I then interrogated him at 9.27am after having interrogated Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer. The suspect was belligerent, refusing to provide his details, not very coherent, and clearly still under the influence. I used interrogation technique 3, also as a way to ensure the prisoner was washed and any other wounds he may have sustained could be evidenced. The ice-cold water brought a sharp increase in his mental faculties. Once he had been thoroughly washed and the fans activated he began to be more reasonable. Apologising he now politely asked if he could receive some medical attention. I explained he must first provide his identity and the circumstances of the incident. It was only at this time, 9.57am that he identified himself as Luftwaffe-SS Standartenführer Heinrich Krauss. His only explanation for the damage to ES No. 488 was that he had been drinking and the ES been “un-cooperative, disrespectful and had insulted his stationed his rank.”
He had no reply as to how the ES could be uncooperative given she was tied spreadeagled fashion to the large bed in the RP12 quarters.
I immediately filled in the reports, properly tagged the reports and completed this report for eventual review by my superiors. I will now check on Luftwaffe-SS Standartenführer Heinrich Krauss’ state of mind and lucidity, and if deemed appropriate will release him, but if the intoxication persists, I will keep him in containment unit 4 providing liquids to aid recovery. Medical attention for his broken septum can be administered in due course.
Additional Entry at 12.45pm
Luftwaffe-SS Standartenführer Heinrich Krauss seems to have sobered considerably, however, perhaps in light of the unfortunate events of a few hours previous and the possible embarrassment this could procure him, he has now accused me of “having deliberately smashed his face against the wall” in the corridor. As at the time Herr Krauss was inebriated and trying to don the robe I had fetched for him, the accusation is, of course, baseless, nevertheless I can submit to a Falkenrath-Weiß test if deemed necessary.
Given his state of mind, I have only provided water and put in a request for a psychiatric evaluation by the relevant Ahnenerbe-SD for this district, who will respond within a maximum period of 24 hours. As today was supposed to be an off-day and I have filed all my work, I will now retire and take the accumulated 6 hours of leave additional to my allowance for New Year’s Day. Time: 1.08pm.

Orpo Feldpolizei Inspektor Kord Siegfried Neubauer closed his daily field report notebook, from which he had transcribed a few notes in order to finish his official report 001 on day 1 of month 1 of year 1997.
What a great fucking start to the year, he thought. Now to go home and sleep. If I can get to sleep at all. That sick fuck really did a number on the girl… Entertainment Server, he tried to correct himself. Had to stay within the lines. Can’t end up like Feldpolizeiassistent Bauer and be thought weak. No one above me gives a shit. So no one to take me under their wing like I am trying to do for Bauer.
He worried mildly about the Falkenrath-Weiß test, but not much. One of the perks of Orpo was that though relatively small in numbers, they were about the only organisations that could go toe to toe with high ranking officers and not pay a price for it. At least not directly. Oh well, though Kord, it’s not as if I am going to let that fat, old fucker fly me around on one of his ships anyway. If he plans to exact revenge he will have to work for it.
Despite being tired and irritated at how the year had started, a small, deep, part of him, with the red eyes of a wolf and the grin of a predator, smiled. Luftwaffe-SS Standartenführer Heinrich Krauss’ face, and especially his nose, had made a very satisfying wet crunch when Kord had shoved the man’s face full force into the wall.
