Since beginning the lifestyle change journey there has been some awesome progress with solidifying a workout routine between 3-4 days a wk at hm, bc the gym is another expense. Keeping a journal to track my weight and food/liquid intake. Since July 31st to present the adjustments have helped me lose 20 lbs the right way. My goal is 40 more lbs as I was a bit fat to start with. I was not seeking quick speedy results, my purpose for this was to develop the mindset for a full lifestyle change. In that it's been a success. My failures are my occasional carb indulgences, limited bc it doesn't feel good. I also used to be a cracker snacker, now rejecting the snacks! When I have a sweet tooth I typically go for 70% + dark chocolate, it helps curve the cravings. Just need to increase my green tea to help wean down to one cup of coffee a day. I love my coffee so it's a little harder than all the rest. Looking for a nice loose leaf green tea to switch to. Not sure what finally clicked but thank you for starting this post because I think the accountability thing was something that worked for my female brain. I've spent so many years on and off, different attempts at getting fitter but none ever worked. Just happy to have the habit formed so it will always be something I am working towards. I also don't have the priorities that you have so it makes these choices easier for me. I would prefer the same priorities that you have, hopefully some day. Your 6 helpers keep you and your wife plenty active! Its movement!
