Did a few years of archery growing up (recurve, with sights). I learned to hate its many technicalities and I gave it up before reaching unaware-competency. So I'm quite interested in seeing you apply systema principles and winnow it down to brass tacks. .

I was taught the loose grip too btw, with a soft touch of fingertips against the front of the handle, so I wouldn't instinctively try to "catch" the bow after releasing and warp the shot.

In fact, I believe I read somewhere, some time ago, that the rotating arrow gave the gunsmith's the idea for rifling.
