The wood shop I used to work at allowed customers to enter and purchase boards from our stock. One of these customers, a handsome and slender 60- something woman who would have been a 7 in her prime was walking past the wood working machine I was operating, when the board I was feeding in jammed randomly. Mostly my fault really, the random part mainly was her presence in the vicinity when it happened.
She asked, with sincerity, "did that jam up because of me???"
My sigma husband and I rarely have discord. I'm from a family of Germanic dairy farmers- there's no time to be emotional!- am nearly incapable of speaking in subtext (autist), and have no respect for hierarchy or social standing. I have absolute trust in his decisions. I know he will never do something "just because." He will still ask for my input, but the decision is ultimately his. That being said, I am emotional and irrational on occasion, however, I am self aware enough to warn him ahead of time.

Thankfully my wife is both German and slightly autistic, so such interactions are (generally) how she prefers to receive information.
